In keeping with Turf Valley's mission to extend the highest level of service to its guests and membership, the Club at Turf Valley features a resident Director of Golf, Nick Spinnato, who oversees all golf operations, including instruction as well as organizing tournament play, MGA events, ladies' events and juniors' events. Spinnato joined the Turf Valley team in 1993, but has been involved in all facets of golf since 1985. He attended Methodist University in Fayetteville, NC where he studied business administration with a concentration in professional golf management. Upon graduating he held various jobs at both public and private courses before coming to Turf Valley.

Our Head Golf Pro, Craig Day, has been a member of the Turf Valley family since 1970, after leaving the military with an Honorable Discharge. 1970 was a big year for Craig, as he was also elected to PGA membership that year. He continued on at Turf Valley when the property changed ownership to the Mangione family in 1978, and became our Head Golf Pro in 1990. In 1995, Day became a member of the PGA Quarter Century Club. Of his tenure at Turf Valley, Day says, "Celebrating over 40 years at Turf Valley and seeing the changes has been awesome.First class service has been our goal, whether in the Golf Schools, teaching the many Assistant Golf Professionals, or managing the many golf outings and tournaments. Overseeing the golfers on our courses has been a challenge and a very rewarding adventure. Watching the many Junior members grow into their golf careers has also been very rewarding."

Chuck has been with Turf Valley for 7 years. He studied the golf swing and teaching aspects while working with Bob Freer, PGA. Chuck is a certified fitter for Cobra Titleist and Ping. With his knowledge of clubs and shafts, he has a passion for finding the right golf equipment to bring out the best in the golfer. He uses the latest in technology with the Trackman Rader system, for his fitting and teaching. He likes to analyze the golfers swing with V1 software and his teaching philosophy is to try to keep the golf swing as simple and repeatable as possible.

Damon is a Class A PGA Member with 15 years of instructional experience and 25 years of experience playing the game. His passion is sharing his knowledge of the game with those who seek to improve. He brings expertise in all facets of instruction including full swing video analysis utilizing the latest version of the V1 software as well as the 'Swingvision' capabilities of his Casio high-speed digital camera, short game, and the Maryland Puttingzone Academy. As a TPI Certified Golf Fitness Professional, he provides analysis on the physical requirements for good golf and will also attend to all your club fitting needs.For the past three years, Damon has owned, operated, and run the Taylor Made Performance Lab at Lake Presidential. The centerpiece of the Lab has been the MATT system, a 3D representation of one's golf swing. Having spent considerable time in the system, Damon feels that his ability to understand one's golf swing, and distill and simplify the required knowledge into a very useable and manageable golf lesson has been vastly improved.

An active PGA member, Parker has 20 years experience in teaching, custom fitting and competitive play. He was the captain of the golf team at Towson University. He has attended countless PGA teaching and club fitting seminars to hone his skills. Prior to joining the The Golf Institute Team at Turf Valley, he provided quality instruction at Green Spring Valley Hunt Club, The Elkridge Club and The Breaker Ocean Course in Palm Beach, FL.Currently splitting time as the Lead Instructor and Master Fitting Specialist at the TaylorMade 3D Lab at Lake Presidential, he brings a wealth of knowledge having taught more than 15K lessons and has enjoyed great success with his students. He has coached and mentored 2 U.S. Amateur qualifiers, MD State Amateur Champion, Mid-Atlantic Amateur Champion and 2 MD State Junior Champions. In addition, he has helped 10 of his juniors gain college golf scholarships. Parker takes great pride in shaping each players skills and stresses the importance of a solid short game. His mission is to help his students become their own best teachers by achieving their short-term goals with an eye on producing long-term results.Justin has 13 years of teaching experience at multiple facilities. He started his professional career working at Baltimore Country Club, then moving for one season to P.B. Dye Golf Club, then moving to Hayfields Country Club for 11 seasons as an assistant professional and teaching professional.Justin attended Campbell University in Buies Creek North Carolina studying in the PGM program. He also graduated from MBC&S in Maryland. He is nearing the end of his process in finalizing his class A status with the PGA. Justin lives in Towson with his wife Ann Margaret.
