Turf Valley Resort Earns 2012 Trip Advisor® Certificate of Excellence

Honored as a Highly Rated Resort as Reviewed by Travelers on the World’s largest Travel Site

Ellicott City, Maryland - June 13,2012 - Turf Valley Resort, featuring 40,000 sq ft of meeting and conference space, two championship golf courses and The Spa at Turf Valley, announced that it has received, for the second year in a row, a Trip Advisor® Certificate of Excellence Award. The accolade, which honors hospitality excellence, is given only to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveler reviews on Trip Advisor, and is extended to qualifying businesses worldwide. Approximately 10 percent of accommodations listed on Trip Advisor receive this prestigious award.

To qualify for the Certificate of Excellence, businesses must maintain an overall rating of four or higher, out of a possible five, as reviewed by travelers on Trip Advisor. Additional criteria include the volume of reviews received within the last 12 months.

Turf Valley Resort attributes its warmth and charm to being family owned and operated. Nick and Mary Mangione purchased Turf Valley, originally a horse farm, in 1978 and nurtured it from a private golf club to the premiere resort it is today. From Farm to Fairways and beyond, Turf Valley has grown to include 26 extended stay villas, with more to come. Encore Assisted Living is the first addition of the planned golf community, which will include condominiums, townhomes and single family homes. The anchor of the new Turf Valley Town Center will be a Harris Teeter grocery store, scheduled to open in the Spring of 2013, followed by restaurants, and other exciting retailers in keeping with a luxury lifestyle.
