There are several things you are not allowed to bring with you when you take a tour of the White House. These include video recorders, purses, book bags, backpacks, handbags, food, drinks, tobacco products, make-up, lotion, strollers, aerosol containers, and weapons of any kind. Cell phones and compact still cameras with a lens no more than 3 inches long are permitted. Be advised that you cannot use your cell phone inside the White House. If you do, it may be taken away.
