Our Fascinating Transformation

Turf Valley Resort is situated on land that was once a part of Charles Carroll's Doughoregan Manor. Prior to opening as Turf Valley Resort, a thoroughbred farm was owned and operated by Sam Pistorio on the grounds.

In 1960, a clubhouse was built and opened as Turf Valley Country Club. Nick and Mary Mangione purchased the property in 1978 and transformed it into a stunning resort destination. Championship golf has always been Turf Valley Resort's anchor in the community. The property was enhanced with a first-class hotel and restaurant in 1988. The Spa at Turf Valley Resort was introduced in 1997 and added relaxation treatments and massage to the growing list of amenities.
