Partnering with Audubon International
As an Audubon Certified Golf Course since 2019, we follow a structured approach to environmental stewardship through the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses. This certification recognizes our ongoing efforts to enhance wildlife habitats, conserve natural resources, and implement sustainable land management practices. Some of the ways we're making a difference include:
- Supporting Pollinators – Our participation in the Monarchs in the Rough program provides critical habitats for butterflies, bees, and other pollinators by planting native wildflowers and grasses throughout the course.
- Creating Safe Spaces – We've long supported Eastern Bluebirds by installing nesting boxes across the property, and this year, we expanded our efforts by adding 12 more, just in time for spring nesting season.
- Preserving Natural Habitats – By removing invasive plant species and maintaining naturalized areas, we're fostering a more balanced and thriving ecosystem for local flora and fauna.

Beyond wildlife conservation, our commitment to sustainable course management ensures we reduce our environmental impact while maintaining an exceptional experience for golfers and guests. Some of our initiatives include:
- Water Conservation – We've reduced irrigated turf by over 40 acres and incorporated drought-resistant grass varieties to minimize water use without compromising course quality.
- Eco-Friendly Turf Management – Our advanced irrigation systems and sustainable landscaping practices ensure we maintain a lush, beautiful course while conserving natural resources.
- Protecting Local Wildlife – Through responsible land management and geofencing, we minimize disruptions to the wildlife that call Turf Valley home, allowing nature to flourish alongside our resort.
