Choosing Turf Valley Resort as our wedding venue was the best decision we made. Jenny and all of the people who helped us plan were invaluable, and Latisha and her team made the entire day run so smoothly. Our guests could not stop saying how amazing the resort was - they enjoyed the golfing, food, and hotel rooms! We cannot recommend Turf Valley Resort enough to any other couples planning their weddings in the area. We look forward to going back soon!
What made you choose Turf Valley Resort as your venue?
The first thing that made us love Turf Valley was how pretty the entire resort was - the scenery, the fountain, the rooms. There were so many great opportunities to take pictures! In addition, the Cameo Ballroom was the perfect size for the amount of people we were having, and the cocktail area was a great set up. Our guests also loved having the patio. It was convenient having hotel rooms that our guests could book and not worry about driving home after the reception. However, the main thing that sold us was how great all of the people at Turf Valley were to work with. Jenny always answered our questions quickly and we could not have planned the day without her!
Did you have any wedding must-haves that had to be part of your special day?
One of our 'must haves' was having a nice cocktail hour and open bar/signature drinks. It was a great time to talk with all of the guests, and the food and bar tenders were amazing. In addition, we and all of our families and friends LOVE to dance, so we needed a good space and a good DJ to have a great dance party. It was so nice to book a DJ that was recommended by Turf Valley so that he was familiar with the set up. Lastly, Red Velvet is our favorite cake, and we love it from a small bakery near our house. It was very nice that Turf Valley lets couples bring in cakes from outside vendors.
What was the most memorable moment from your wedding day?
The entire day was something we will never forget, but one of the most memorable parts of the day was being introduced as Mr. & Mrs. Rao to our closest friends and family. Soon after the introduction and first dance, we did a 'photo dash' when the DJ played fun music and we ran to each guest table with our photographer to take pictures with all of the guests. It was amazing to see and be with each person who was there loving and supporting us, and we now have a picture with every single one of our guests.
