GETTING READY AT TURF VALLEY RESORT
Did you have any wedding must-haves that had to be part of your special day?
It was important to me that I was able to get ready at the venue. I did not want to stress about travel or getting people to any location on time. I booked a phenomenal suite where I was able to have both my hair and make-up done in the bridal suite for myself and the wedding party. It was clean, spacious, and bright. I never felt stress and was able to enjoy getting pampered.

What made you choose Turf Valley Resort as your venue?
We had gone on many tours and researched a few venues. No one had what Turf Valley Resort could offer. They provided food, beverage, the cake, and all for a reasonable package cost. They were professional and made me feel at ease. Let's face it, they are not rookies, weddings are what they do best!

What was your most memorable moment from your wedding day?
There was one moment that really stuck out and I think of it often. We had finished the pictures from the ceremony and our guests were seated in the reception room. We were so overcome with emotion that we were finally married! The wedding had been rescheduled from our original date due to Covid and we were unsure if the October date would even happen. It was quiet and we were grateful to share a moment together before going into the reception. Our Maitre D' brought us enormous comfort. He was so attentive and even brought us drinks and hors d'oeuvres. He never rushed us and made sure we knew what was coming next. It meant a lot that I could share that moment of relief and gratitude with my husband.
THE RECEPTION
Did anything change with the wedding because of the pandemic?
Our original date changed which was the biggest setback. We worked with Turf Valley Resort to choose a new date before other weddings were booked. Jaime Petit, our Catering Account Executive at Turf Valley, was by my side the entire time and continually checked in with us. At times I was stressed at planning a wedding – especially during a pandemic. Jaime kept me sane and made the entire experience worth it. I am happily married and would do it all over again. We will be returning for our one-year anniversary in October, and I look forward to reliving the memories.
