What made you choose Turf Valley Resort as your venue?
Turf Valley Resort was the perfect choice for us because it offered everything we were looking for in one place. It is all-inclusive, had plenty of space to comfortably accommodate all of our guests, and offers delicious food options. What truly made it stand out, though, was the incredible staff. Everyone involved in helping bring our event to life was amazing, and their care, professionalism, and support made the entire experience feel so special and seamless.
Tell us how you met and share your engagement story.
We first met as neighbors, though for the first few years we hardly spoke. Everything began to change when Austin brought home a puppy named Ark. Laura helped Austin care for Ark and nurse him back to health, and through that simple act of kindness, the two began spending time together almost every day. Before long, their siblings and families started spending time together as well, and everything seemed to fall into place like magic.
Austin eventually took Laura on their very first date to Chesapeake Beach, Maryland, a place that would always hold a special meaning for them. Four years later, he brought her back there and proposed in a beautifully decorated gazebo filled with flowers, lights, and photos capturing some of the most meaningful moments of their relationship. It was the easiest yes Laura had ever said.
What was the most memorable moment from your wedding day?
Watching our bridal party perform their choreography to songs that they had been practicing for months!
Share your best advice for newly engaged couples.
The planning process takes time, so be patient with one another. Show grace and patience to your friends and family along the way. Love each other through the disagreements, and love even harder when there are none. Support one another in every room they are not in. Love each other on the hard days and the easy ones. In the end, everything will come together beautifully, even in the moments when it feels like it will not.
