What made you choose Turf Valley Resort as your venue?
Turf Valley is a very sentimental place for us; my parents got married at Turf Valley in the same ballroom we did over thirty years ago! We also chose Turf Valley because of the amazing service, we were treated with so much kindness throughout every step of the process, and the appreciation and ability to provide our guests with the most delicious and abundant displays of food!
What was the most memorable moment from your wedding day?
Aside from the first moment we were named man and wife, the most memorable moment from our wedding day was the feeling of walking into the ballroom surrounded by cheers of joy from all of our loved ones, all in one place.
Did you have any wedding must-haves that had to be part of your special day?
For us, there were a few must-haves that felt important to us and our families - specifically an Italian theme, "un grande amore" which means "big love" in Italian. First, a cocktail hour with plenty of delicious appetizers to welcome our guests. Music and dancing was of course a must as well, and our family enjoyed celebrating and dancing "The Tarantella," which is a traditional Italian dance. Lastly, we brought homemade biscotti cookies to serve our guests for dessert. This is a tradition in our family, and the fact that the cookies were homemade by our extended families with so much love made it an extra special addition for our guests!
